Self criticism is corrosive – becoming aware of the tendancy to blame self means with Awareness you can do something about it. You probably had a very critical parent – but was that what you needed when you were so very young? Be the parent to yourself now that you needed and didn/t get by Affirming, Encouraging and Supporting self.
Raise your Self Esteem by building up -not beating yourself up!
Develop a kinder way of relating to self, where you sooth yourself when the going gets tough and say inwardly ‘This is difficult, this is not an easy time – what can I do to support myself here?’
